There are quite a few jokes here that I wanted to do during Steel Nation but never got the chance to.

The opening of this page is a running gag from classic mech cartoon Megas XLR (chicks dig giant robots). Here's a hilarious video I found on YouTube that showed all the different times that robots crashed on to the totally-not-supposed-to-be-MTV buildings in that show.

The flashback to Renaldo getting a tentacle monster to the face was long overdue revenge.

The Shoop-de-woop was begging to be done when I redesigned the Deathbot into the DeathAngel.

Any other references are purely there by whim or accident, except for all the H.P. Lovecraft ones - I had to actually research those!
